what's remained
Have you ever had a photo where the color was faded when it was getting old? Some memories would have gone easily when the time passed, some would stay forever. For those still in my mind, probably very important to me.
Some useful video editing skill that I learned in our class to day.

memory x time
Things happened in the past became memories. The memories stay in our mind even the time stepping forward.
Video recording captured the image happened in the past. When we watch the video, we are using the "present" time to recall/review the past.

New thought
This was kind of the first trial of what I imagine for the project.
(1)Take a video of a phrase of my movement.
(2)Then reverse it, and learn the reversed movement.
(3)After that, do the reversed movement and take a video of it.
(4)Reverse the video of reversed movement.
(5)Compare the result of (1) and (4).
I thought the result was predictable and not that interesting to watch. I felt it seemed I could do more to play with "time". So, after trying this, I had some new thoughts about the project.
I'm still figuring out "what should" and "how to"... At this point, I only know that a live performance with video projection is needed, rather than just a edited video.

Trace the crayon
I always think that, graphic design and choreography are following some similar elements in the process of creation, and I think the basic common principle is to manage the "space", no matter it is on the paper or on the stage. Today, in CAP class, we played with lines that captured from the spaec in the studio. It was super fun, we played, we drew, we danced.

Trail- The lines in the space of studio 2 at Hollins University.

Tofu- This was one line that I picked from other classmate's "Trial". It looked like a big curd of tofu very much.

Bubble- I drew it with my eyes shut. I liked this exercise very much, when I was doing it, I felt I really trusted myself I was drawing the bubble in a straight line. I liked that feeling.

Something wrong in the stomach- I drew it with a gestural movement. I covered my stomach with paper, and hold the crayon in front of the paper. I twisted my body side to side to make the lines.

5 steps- This was part of the drawing of my 5 steps movement phrase.

Stop • Motion
We used photo Booth and iPhoto to make a simple stop motion in CAP class.
The photos of this one were not in order, so it looked like a slide show rather than a stop motion video.
I found that if I imported the photo from File> Import to Library, then browse from the Photo Booth folder. The photos would be imported in order.

rewind-the-reverse
I always have a question in my mind﹣ what if I could go back to the past? If I could redo what I've done, would it be the same?
To go back to the past, I need to go backward, go back to the time that I want to re-start. Like video playback, the video can be rewind to any point for replay. People only concern the replay, but, what about the rewind?
